What Defines the Cra

Three ancient disciplines form the foundation of every Cra warrior. Master all three and you command the battlefield from beyond your enemy's reach.

Wind Mastery

The Cra communes with the wind itself, bending air currents to shunt enemies across tiles, disrupt formations, and create impassable zones of turbulence. Wind spells like Blinding Shot and Repelling Arrow scatter foes into disadvantageous positions — while the Cra stands untouched at maximum range.

Elemental Wind

Tactical Precision

Every tile matters. The Cra calculates angles, range modifiers, and line-of-sight vectors with machine-like accuracy. Passive bonuses reward maintaining optimal distance. Spells scale dramatically when the Cra holds perfect position — punishing any opponent who lets their guard down.

Positioning Mastery

Long-Range Dominance

Where other classes struggle to close distance, the Cra thrives across the entire arena. Base range of 8 cells — extendable to 12+ with passive buffs — means the Cra deals full damage before enemies can retaliate. Area arrows punish clustered formations, while single-target shots eliminate priority targets.

Maximum Range: 12+

Master These Abilities

Each ability represents a discipline forged over centuries within the Cra brotherhood. From the gentle nudge of Repelling Arrow to the devastating hail of Barrage, every spell rewards strategic thinking.

Wind

Precision Mark

Brands a target with a wind sigil, amplifying all subsequent Cra damage dealt to that target. The mark detonates in a burst of compressed air on the third hit.

Displacement

Repelling Arrow

A compressed-air shot that launches the target backward 3 to 5 tiles on impact. Used to disrupt enemy positioning, break group tactics, and push targets into traps.

Precision

Focused Shot

The Cra's signature single-target strike. Maximum accuracy with bonus damage for every empty cell between the Cra and the target — rewarding maximum range play.

Area

Barrage

Unleashes a volley of wind-charged arrows across a wide arc. Enemies in a line take cascading hits with each arrow amplifying the next. The Cra's most feared area spell.

Defensive

Windy Cloak

Wraps the Cra in a cyclonic barrier that deflects incoming projectiles and reduces melee damage. Enemies who strike through the cloak take wind damage in return.

Ancient Lore • The Brotherhood

Born of Wind,
Forged in Silence

A Cra's arrow finds its mark where others miss. -- Brotherhood of the Cra, First Oath

Long before the World of Twelve knew war as it does today, the Cra were wanderers — forest folk who listened to the wind long enough that the wind began to listen back. Their arrows were never forged of iron or steel alone; they were shaped from focused thought, compressed air, and a communion with Osamodas's wild current that few races ever achieve.

The Cra philosophy is built on a single principle: distance is not cowardice — it is wisdom. A Cra who can read the battlefield from afar, who can predict enemy movement three turns in advance, is worth ten warriors who rush headlong into melee. Their villages are built high in mountain passes where the wind never stops, where every child grows up feeling the currents shift and learning to use them.

In combat, the Cra is a choreographer. They position allies, push enemies into disadvantageous terrain, and pick apart defenses from angles that seem impossible. Their greatest masters can fire through walls of wind they themselves conjured, ignoring obstacles that halt lesser archers entirely.

The wind does not strike twice in the same place. Neither does a Cra arrow. -- Alcia, Master of the Howling Pass
